I have just updated my development system with the NPP 1.5 upgrade. I used to be able to run OI 3.5 and Arev 3.12 simultaneously under Win 95. Now I find that If OI is running, AREV starts with a B527 error message (Your DOS path for tempory file is invalid. Please check your environment settings). However, if I attach to the shared data volume (attach_table '\PKS','','TBS') within OI first, then the AREV session starts with a long string of error messages (B527, B326, B328 etc), and then falls over.

Everything was ok before I upgraded, and I don't think I have changed anything else.

Ashley,

Do you have a DOS path set for temporary files? IF so is it a valid one? If not you should set one.

You can check it from Options-]Workstation-]hardware

Thanks John,

I double checked the temp setting, and alls OK. The problem goes away if OI 3.5 is not running at the same time. If OI has opened several files, the problem gets worse!

I had one ARev workstation fail just after the upgrade. It is in Win95. I found that the CONFIG.SYS FILES= was at 30, unlike other workstations. When I changed it to FILES=100 the problem went away.
