I have just been given a demo version of OpenInsight 32 on a CD at the CeBIT Australia trade fair.
I am trying to install it on my Windows XP (Pro) machine with a NTFS file system.
I have installed it once but the installation did not work. So I have used "Add / Remove Programs" in the Control Panel to remove it altogether, closed ALL other applications McAfee Anti Virus etc. and tried to re-install.
I Double Click on the Setup Icon on my D:\ Drive I briefly get an Hourglass, that tells me something is happening and then nothing happens.
Can anyone tell me what I do now to install this?
I would dearly like to evaluate this software, I have been using Pick related languages for over sixteen years, and I think this looks like a very nice product.
Many thanks,
Adrian

Could you explain what the error was? Did OpenInsight not load or did an error message appear?

There was no error message.
When I opened the OpenInsight 32 group I noticed the OpenInsight program had the windows default icon, and when I double clicked on this Windows went searching for an application that obviously wasn't there.

Were you logged in as administrator when you attempted the install?

I was not using the "Administrator" login, I was using my personal login with full administrator privalages.

OK to review the steps needed
Insert the CD in the Machine
Open Windows Explorer
Browse to CD
Open OpenInsight folder
Double click on setup.exe
Follow the prompts
At what stage does this fail?

I know I must sound like a "Dumb user" but I have just re-run the install and it worked fine.
It was not giving me any prompts after I double clicked Setup.
Thanks for all your help.
