Hello Arev World,

Ive searched the other entries but cant find the answer so,here goes..

I do a GETLIST of around 250000 valid keys then as a loop I do "readnext id; read rec,id then cnt+=1 else error=id" but not all the associated records can be read - interesting.

The keys to the records which cant be read dont appear in the GETLIST and are actually only parts of valid keys.

The actual number of misreads varies each run but say 4 too few records were sucessfully read then the error list would contain 8 entries and when viewed and the relevant pairs added together we would get the real keys minus the connecting charactors - strange!

Please - any ideas????

Phil.

Oh Yeah, one last thing, we tried this on a non-windows PC and it didnt corrupt any keys, could it be a windows or shortcut thing?

The GETLIST was created using a SELECT by keypart3 where keypart3 is not indexed and is single valued.

I wrote a program to ensure all SAVELIST list parts contain only valid key patterns and dont contain any @fm,@vm nor @tm.

So I cant fault the keys in this list.

Interesting how we dont get this problem when run on a DOS only PC.

We are using Arev 3.12 and Network driver IPX/Advanced Netware V1.5.

This has baffled us for two days and we are trying to write our Arev data into a DOS flat file, but cant read all records.

Hope you lot can help us.

Phil,

(responded to your e-mail, but keep thread going for others info)

Problem is on IPX driver, the readnext appends a @fm to each group of 8 keys that it returns - I have added the following line after the NextFS call in the NextMfs routine in each MFS that it affects.

If (Code=8) and (Record-1,1=@fm) then Record-1,1='
