I just came back from a client's office who has been having some problems with their Win95 workstations running AREV 3.1 and the NLM 1.12 on a Novel 3.12 system.

Upon exiting AREV they would semi-regularly get a screen with a blue background and some message regarding "Exception error 0E in VxD…"

I seemed to eliminate this problem by removing an "endcap l=1" command that would be processed in the same batch file that loaded AREV. Does this sound familiar or make any sense?

However, now that it seems the crashing has stopped, they get a message in their DOS window that says the following:

MICROSOFT WINDOWS POP-UP PROGRAM SUPPORT

Your pop-up program is ready to run. When you have finished using it, press Ctrl-C to close this window and return to Windows.

We can do nothing BUT press Ctrl-C. I've never seen this and don't know what causes it but it appears on all Win95 workstations. Can I avoid this message?

Thanks,

I can't remember why it does this, but you'll need to add an EXIT line to the batch file.
