I have a client who added a Windows 2000 professional workstation to their NT network. In general things work fine, but they are unable to print anything to the LPT1 port. Other Win 98 workstations are working fine.

Thanks for any clues on this.

Try running

FLUSH

PCPERFORM "EXIT"

statements immediately after your

PRINTER OFF

statement and see if this helps. You can optionally place these steps in your own separate routine.

If you have a licensed copy of AREV, try taking $PDISK and add it to REVG, catalog it, and perform PDISK PRN after your report.

What is the difference between the PDISK routine in RevG and Arev?

There was a bug in PDISK.ASM from RevG which moved into ARev. This bug was finally fixed somewhere around ARev 2.12. Mostly this effects how files are opened and how it handles the logical printer ports.

Standard Revelation Support fix was to mail a copy of a 2.12 or later $PDISK to the customer.
