RTP57A....line 2....string space format error (AREV Specific)

When trying to launch Arev again (immediately after) they then get FS1019 "Unable to access linear hash service". However this is then fixed by restarting the service. But I don't understand why the linear hash service stops in the first place. This happens on all workstations. I have been informed that there have been no recent hardware or network changes.
Workstations are Win98 , Arev on NT4 server.

Sounds like an out-of-memory condition. Otherwise, check that the Write-behind caching is disabled on all workstations.
If my memory serves, under Win 98, Right-click My-Computer then select Filing System, Performance then DISABLE (check the checkbox) the write behind caching option.
