I've got a problem or two… a process (on a runtime system) has fallen over and given the error

(these details passed to me as a result of a phone call, so I doubt they are exact)

I suspect this is debugger, and more of a symptom of the problem rather than the problem itsself. Of rather more concern is that the indexer which usually indexes 10's of tables is now oscillating between just two tables.

Could someone please

a) confirm the error is from debugger

b) tell me if it's a symptom or cause of my problems

c) tell me why indexer has gone awry

d) give me a checklist of actions to apply to the indexer and files

any (quick) help much appreciated because a colleague of mine is just about to drive 100 miles to the user site

Or it could be a case of STFS (Search The F*** Site). I seem to remember there are several different causes for this message.

Hope somebody's able to give you more specific help.

One thing - does the message really say Opening REV_LOADREC and not Loading program REV_LOADREC. You won't find any postings on Opening REV_LOADREC.

This means the connection to the network was dropped. As to why it dropped, well, there are hundreds of reasons.

I have encountered exactly the same thing when the network connection drops and is re-established. So….whatever Sprezz says

Any network timeout issues for a terminal that is inactive for any given length of time. We used to see this with AREV and the NLM with a netware server.

I hope that this isn't too late for some. My customer was able to isolate that a client desktop had a defective NIC card, which once the PC was taken off-line the error discontinued.
