Good day,

I need some help solving a problem that has just recently started. Some users are getting the FS477 error when attempting to start AREV. These users connect to the AREV application via a WinFrame server. All users (LAN & WinFrame) have been successfully running the application until about a week ago when suddenly certain WinFrame users received the FS477 error(including myself). Other users could run the application no problem – some LAN some WinFrame. The problem seemed to fix itself later on in the day.

It seemed as though the problem corrected itself when people started to logoff for the day. Without making any changes, I was able to log in the same day that I was seemingly locked out. When all users were logged out, I stopped then restarted the NLM. I never heard from the users for over a week, but now it has happenned again.

I thought it was related to licensing but we are not at our limit. And if one of the users logged out, one of the locked out users still could not log in.

Here's some background information:

I have 7 identically configured sites - so far the error has appeared at only one of the seven sites.

Each site consists of one Netware 4.11 server running NLM 1.5. WAN users connect via WinFrame 1.7.

Advanced Revelation version 3.12, using IPX/Advanced Netware v1.50 driver.

Frame type is set to 802.3 on the WinFrame server (not auto).

Users run "LHIPXTSR /C:60 /P" prior to starting AREV.

In REVPARAM, SERVERONLY=TRUE. This file is located in all the directories with LK and OV files.

Any ideas?
