One of my clients is complaining that just one user gets a B235 "Waiting for index ???/root ??? to be available" error whenever they log in to advanced revelation 3.12. He deleted the user and recreated them but the problem still happens. It happens on whatever maching the user tries to log in, so it isn't machine specific.

Their dedicated indexer doesn't show any problems.

Any ideas how this could be cleared?

Check for VOC table for a row with this user's name.

The "username" VOC item, if it exists, will be automatically executed when that user logs onto arev and it would effect only that "username".
