I am in the process of trying to link data from AREV 3.x to MS SQL 6.5

We want to put OpenInsight in the middle. Thus OpenInsight will pull information from AREV and intern MS SQL will get its data from OpenInsight.

I have down loaded the demo version of OpenInsight and was wondering if there is a basic procedure I can follow to link to OpenInsight from AREV.

Thanks

Alan,

If I understand you correctly, you are trying to look at the AREV files from OpenInsight and then put that data in SQL format.

To attach the files, go to Database Manager (under Tools in the main menu) .

In there got to File, Add. Select the directory with your AREV data tables and add the tables you want.

When done, choose DataBase, Save at the main menu in Database Manager. This ensures that the tables you added will allways be attached when you open your application.

From here you can probably use the Data Warehousing to put your information in MS SQL format.

Hope this helps.

You should just attach the location. You should also change any dots to underscores in file/field names.
