Problems with REVREPOS.LK (OpenInsight Specific)

When I try to compile one of my stored procedures I get "FS129: Linear Hash Error OS File: REVREPOS.LK Group #:0 Group Calculation Error". Is there any other way to fix this than to go to AREV, rename the REVREPOS.LK and .OV to some to some other file (which has a name in AREV) and repair it? This is a lengthy solution and I was wondering if there was a quicker way to do it. (Please don't suggest "restore from backup" as I can figure out that solution on my my own…)
Thanks,
Bryan

Well, you could hack in a file called REPOS into the REVMEDIA file, with a file name of REVREPOS instead of the standard REV12345, but you'd have to do this to see the file from the ARev side anyway. Attach this file, then you'll be able to fix in OI.
In all honesty, if you haven't done many changes to the repository, meaning adding or deleting, it might be best to restore since when you get a GFE, you'll end up losing a record or two. In the repository, that can be crutial.
After you fix this, you might want to consider adding repository mirroring. This way, if the repository GFEs on you again, you have a hot backup ready for a restore.
Post back if you need to know how to set up mirroring.

When setup created the icons for OpenInsight, there should have been a icon created called Repository Mirror or something very similar. Like me, you probably erased it. If so, there is a program in the REVBOOT directory called REVIMAGE.EXE REVBOOT is the name of the volume that OINSIGHT.EXE and OENGINE.EXE and the REVBOOT files are located. It's the main system directory.
With all your users logged out of the system, execute this program. When prompted, enter a SYSPROG application's system administrator user name and password. The SYSPROG user would be the best.
If you do not enter a directory, REVBOOT will be used. The directory must exist to create the file. You might want to create a directory called MIRROR for ease of use. Personal preference though.
After the mirror is created, you can use REVIMAGE to validate and synchronize the repository.

There is a white paper on the 3.5 Works CD that describes repository mirroring. It is also available on-line in the Works section.
