Can't re-build indexes (OpenInsight Specific)

Since I wasn't having any luck re-using the arev tables, I built a new table from scratch in OI and created a script to copy data from the arev table into it. However, my indexes did not work so I tried rebuilding them for that table and ran into my problem.
Will version 3.8 of OI help me with this? I'm still using version 3.5. I'm not doing anymore development with this version as I've spent half of my time dealing with bugs. Thanks.

After restarting I rebuilt all of my indexes from scratch this time without a problem… almost. One of my tables (not the one OI had problems with) lost all of the data in all of its columns except for the record id column! Amazing. Good thing I didn't need the data.

I can't offer a solution, but at least some words of perspective: I have never seen anything like you are experiencing, and I've seen a lot and have done a lot. If anything I want you to feel confident that there are no hidden gotchas in OI that can destroy data like this at will. You must have an extreme anomaly.
I can't offer FTP access, but if those files can zip small enough I'd be willing to look at them for you as well.
