I have an interesting Peer to Peer problem:

I'm trying to access a non-networked version of AREV accross a peer to peer netwrok. I'm not running two coppies I just want to be able to start the program from another computer. Both computers have full access to each other. When I try to start the program I get two error messages.

1. RTP27B12 File has not been opened

2. RTP27B114 Max number of vars exceded

Any info would be appreciated, Thanks

Okay, I'll try a shot at it.

Questions.

Is the network drive in question mapped to a valid drive letter?

Is that drive letter and directory properly set as the working directory in the properties of the lnk or Pif file?

Can you enter MS-DOS mode, change to that drive letter and CD to directory in question, and run it from there?

Since AREV is DOS based, it needs to know this stuff. You will not be able to run it directly from Network Neighborhood, only its own letter.

Just some thoughts.
