The problem:

No user can print to the network printer from Advanced Revelation v. 2.12

Using:

Advanced Revelation 5 user Peer to Peer Network.

NPP - Network Performance Pack

Note:

The network works fine. All users can print from Windows.

Thank you.

Art,

You didn't say which peer-to-peer network you are using (i.e. Windows, Lantastic, Netware Lite, etc.)

Can you print from other DOS programs, or even EDIT.COM?

Try this: after a print job has been executed entere "PDISK PRN" at a TCL prompt and see if this forces your printing to go through.

Art,

ARev, even though it is a network aware application, is not network printer aware.

You will need to capture the network printer to a local printer port in order for ARev to "see" it.

Art,

Are you using UNC's to reroute the LPT1 PORT?

Are you using the following?

NET USE LPT1 \

This works on an NT network.

What is setprinter set to - LPT1?

When using the NET USE, one should also add the /PERSISTENT:YES at the end.
