We have just upgraded the server from Novell to NT 4.0. We have

multiple Arevs on the server some are copies. The copies are for testing older versions of code but do get used. What do we need to do for loading the service pack? Only one copy of the Arev really needs the service pack, all other Arevs are only used by one users at a time.

Dave,

You would need the NPP to be installed in each system.

We have multiple AREV copies as well on a NT3.51server, each with NPP V1.5. The problem we saw was that each copy checked the number of users logged into the Server against the Maximum user count for that copy.

So, when the 9th person logs into the server and tries to get into an AREV license with 8 maximum users, he gets a message "too many users logged in", even though only one other person is in that license.

It doesn't make sense to buy LANpack disks to bump every copy to the maximum number of users on the server. Anybody find the workaround?

A situation like this would only occur if the multiple copies of ARev all have the same serial number.
