AREV on Novell 3.11 server fails when logged onto NDS. (Networking Products)

Hello,
I have one user (Windows 95 client) who when logged in to Netware 4 home server via Novell Directory Tree, AREV on separate Novell 3.11 server fails with FS477 error. If user is then logged off of tree but left on bindery servers (LOGOFF /T), AREV works. Routers are programmed to allow all SAP through on LAN, but not to WAN.How can I set this user up so she can access AREV all the time.
Thank you,
Brian

Is there anything going through the WAN? Why aren't the SAP adresses being allowed through there?

There should not be any traffic over WAN. Both the Server and clients are on the same LAN. Other clients on the same LAN are able to use AREV with similar setups. Are there known problems with Window 95 clients logging into Novell 4 NDS and running AREV on Novell 3 bindery server?Thank you,

Only one I know of is related to the SAP addresses. WAN shouldn't matter. Both the 4.x and 3.x server are local to this machine?

Only other idea I have is to change the client settings so that each frame type is mentioned. Do not[/b] use the AUTO setting. apk@sprezzatura.com Sprezzatura, Inc.

Looks like the best alternative will be to set the batch up to log the user off of the tree before running Arev. This will require the user to log back on after Arev is done, but is better than the current solution. (manual login as bindery) Thank you, Brian </QUOTE> —- === At 17 MAR 1998 10:43AM Aaron Kaplan wrote: === <QUOTE>Are both servers using a frame type of 802.3?
