REPORTER caused a general protection fault in module RP.DLL (Reporter Specific)

One of our clients just ran the Office 97 Service Pack 1 upgrade and since then the Revelation Reporter will not save any modifications to existing reports siting a "REPORTER caused a general protection fault in module RP.DLL". As this information is coming from a client I cannot vouch for it's authenticity, the problem may not be related to service pack upgrade but have nothing else to go on.
I re-ran the client install but this did not help. What does this RP.DLL file do?
