I have just started programming with AREV and have found almost no training information concerning R/basic or AREV. Are there any suggestions as to where I can find training information about programing with Advanced Revelations.

There are very few training resources in terms of books/reference material available. Where are you based ?

Prosolve run training courses, including Arev, for Revelation Software in the UK and WinWin Solutions do the same in the USA.

Alternatively Sprezzatura (also on the forum) have an excellent publication called Revmedia that is very technical and aimed at experienced Arev developers. It is no longer published but I am sure you can get in on CD format or similar.

The Revmedia FKB is available on disk (we'll e-mail it to you) and contains the entire contents of the 4 volume Revmedia series. It's designed to work inside Advanced Revelation's Knowledge Base application.

In addition to WinWin and Prosolve we also offer ARev training courses. The Developer Network section of this site also maintains a list of trainers

We all have differnent styles and different focus and methods of teaching, and while I'd love to be biased, in actuallity we're all just as good (or bad). I'm pretty sure you can find someone in your area that suits your needs.

Revelation Software has some excellent training manuals. Since the days of full-fledged ARev training centres are long gone, I would suggest purchasing all the training manuals they provide, including the teacher manuals. At a training course I did last month, I found an excellent RTI manual, but I can't remember what it's called! It was a good 300 pages or so and had brightly coloured tabs defining the sections. It had a very nice section explaining the LH file structure and how it compares with a SQL type data structures. Someone from Customer Service at Revelation should be able to help you out.

There is a book out called Revelation Revealled, by Hal Chapel & Richard Clark - Paradigm Publishing.

It's good but old

Firstly, there are some coding examples here in this forum,

Second, I would endorse Sprezzatura as a supplier of quality training and reference material.

Thirdly, contact someone in your local area via the "support and training" links at left.

Revelation Revealed is for REVG, not Arev. It would probably be a hindrance as much as a help.
