Seth,
How many workstations are running AREV at the same time? Do you have a dedicated indexer for your system?

Seth-
It sounds like all your workstations are configured to update indexes. Does this happen on payroll day? Bringing in the payroll and HED information puts a strain on the indexes, and if many workstations are trying to update the indexes, you have a greater window of vulnerability of the indexes failing.
Check the Ceridian tech bulletins on setting up a dedicated indexing machine, and turning off the updates on all workstations. If you can't find the tech bulletin, give us a call at (201) 722 9814. We offer contract support and hotline services for Arev and OI systems, including all Ceridian products.
Hope this helps-

Seth,
In addition to Mike's and my previous thoughts, it is possible that someone is running AREV in Windows and possibly has minimized the task while the machine was updating an index AND this machine has not been configured to allow background execution.
