We have been running Arev 31 apps with NLM 1.5 under Novell 4.10 and the Novell CLient 32 3.1 driver without problems. We applied the new service patch (#1) to the Client and could no longer open the application. The error is "Linear Hash IPX Driver - RevMedia Open Error FS466". Has anyone done the client update or had a similar problem?

FS466 usually are caused by using auto frame types on all networks or not using source routing on token rings.

Same upgrade, same error message. Tried all possible variations on setting frame types, auto frame types, etc….. I'm sure I'm missing something, but for now the answer was to revert to 3.10 without the service pack.

I experienced the same as soon as I applied sp1 to Client32. I have my frame type set to Ethernet II (which we are using on all stations). Reverting back to Client32 3.10 WITHOUT sp1 brought AREV back.

Exactly the same results–have tested on w98 and w95 machines with all possible combinations of auto and specified frame types, logical board settings, etc. Until either Novell or Revelation fix this, the only solution is to avoid SP1.

Yes, that has been tried. And it works just fine for us with Client 32 version 3.1 (in fact, most machines aren't even real picky about the autodetect, since our server only runs 8.2). BUT, as soon as the SP1 patch for Client 32 3.1 is on a box, it no longer will run the AREV app, regardless of what else is set however. This has been duplicated on multiple machines on our network, trying both patching 3.1 and also patching an installation point and doing a "clean" install of the Netware client.

Same here. I switched to 802.2 only and nothing changed. The old client worked so I guess I'll have to go back to that.
You would think that Revelation and Novell could get together on this and hammer out a solution.
Cheers!
