We are moving to NT. Both server and client using Arev 3.12. I often do things at home on my Win95 PC and return with dict FMC's or possibly an entire file at times and simply copy back into our Arev directory at work.

Will this still be ok with NT running at work? Logic tells me it shouldn't be any different but I'd like to hear from the expert advice here.

Thanks

Your quite right, at the user level Arev will work exactly as before. So file and record copy functions should be identical.

Well .. nearly so. You might have problems if the data files are changed after you made a local copy (for example, posting transactions to accounting information). In that case, if you copy back, you might make a real mess out of things. You should have no difficulty with source / object libraries if you keep track of who's doing what. Data files might be problematical if you use sequential key counters and someone adds new records after you make a copy. Your data might then over-write theirs and so on. Networks are different!
