Receiving random READ errors. They start on a single PC and then propagate across several other workstations on the network. I don't detect corruption. Linear Hash Service (NT Service pack 1.5) is running. Installed on Win 2000 Server. One thing I notice is that when the errors occur I go pull up the event log on the server and under the application log it is reporting the errors as the source: Liner Hash Description: The "LHReadRecord" call failed, returning LH error number 107, file number 2, group number 2483. General read error. There are usually 3 or more errors logged with varying group numbers. I have reinstalled the Linear Hash service from scratch but am still getting the errors. The system has been stable for the past several years. This has just started to happen within the last couple of months. I am using the All Networks Driver 1.5.0.1 with AREV Release 2.12. Any ideas?

Something must have changed recently. The most likely is AntiVirus software not excluding the checking of .OV and .LK files.

Check for Files=200 in config.sys or .nt and ServerOnly=1 in the REVPARAM file.
