Installed a new Win2K workstation for testing. Server is NT (w/o service).

Everything runs fine BUT, if I go into System Editor and make a change to a Stored Proc, it compiles fine but doesn't save anything. If I revisit the proc, none of the changes have been saved, yet saving records within forms, etc. works properly so I don't think it is a problem with the rights mask. Also, the save/compile menu items are not greyed-out which happens if the record is read-only. Also, I can go into the same directory under AREV 3.12 and edit/compile/save just fine.

Very puzzling, indeed. Any suggestions on where to start?

Don,

In all hurry before I run home - I might be totally off target - is there a non-standard mouse on the system?

Don,

The way your saves fail this might be the same problem as I once had. I had a Wacom pen/tablet thing that caused save and search to fail when the stored procedures were large enough. See . In the same thread Sprezzatura say the MS Intellimouse can cause search to fail.

Don,

I am not sure I am saying this correctly…

If I have a "POPUP" up and I try to "save and compile" in the system editor, it acts like it is working, and does nothing!

Same thing happens when I have a dialog_box up.

I think it has to do with the "engine" being busy. I have read the following from the "idleproc" property help…

…since the engine is busy executing your BASIC+ script and will not respond to the tool as it opens.

Currently using OI32 4.0.1, max users 1.
