Number of Bump Users (AREV Specific)

Our company produces a database porgram using Arev 2.12. For the last few years, we have always informed our customers that when bumping from a single user to multible users over a network, the user number increases by 4. So, with the existing user of one plus the four, the initial bump would leave you with five users. In practice this has been the case. One of our clients informed us they only have four users now. Would installing the NLM have any effect on the number of users? Or has something changed we are not aware of in regards to bumping the number users? Our client is a bit concerned as we assured them they would be capable of having five users. Any comments would be appreciated.

Kevin,
I'm not really sure what you are experiencing, especially since I thought there were only 3-user and 5-user bumps. Revelation began at some point to honor an existing system as already having a single user so a 3-user bump would give the system 4 users and a 5-user bump would give the system 6 users.
I believe at one time a 5-user bump would only display 5 users in the system, but I've never heard of a 4-user bump disk. Maybe this disappeared with the $2 dollar bill and the SBA silver dollar…

I use $2 bills and SBA dollars all the time. In fact, every time I purchase stamps out of the machine I get SBAs in change.

Yes there was a four user bump. I have one, however I have run into a problem in which when all four users are on line, the background indexer will from time to time an access denied error message. If one person logs out the error message will not display. The network if Invisible 4.0 - a dos network softwork similiar to Lantastic.
