I have so many problems attempting to run openinsight on a Windows NT Workstation V4.0 platform. When attempting to open a an application OpenInsight hangs. The OIEngine at this point is using nearly 100% CPU. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I think that the first release that was meant to work on NT was 3.12 .

Event with the newest (3.61) there are still a few minor problems to be addressed with NT, but it generally runs fine.

The easiest way to take your app from 2.61 to 3.xx is an APPBACKUP.

Good Luck

Jilesh,

Just to confirm what David said, 3.12 of OpenInsight was the first one that incorporate a lot of NT specific refinements, so it's a known problem that earlier versions are relatively NT unfriendly. If you need to run it (i.e. 2.x) at all, you might want to run it in its own memory space, that way it will be pre-emptively multi-tasked and won't affect other 16-bit apps running at the time.
