I have payroll software written by a bank using AREV 1.1. They do not supply the export feature with their runtime version. I need to export my employee information in ASCII format. Could someone tell me of a product which will do this. My e-mail address is edscha@computan.on.ca.

You could buy a full copy of AREV and use the export feature there or you could pay someone to do it for you - probably cheaper!

Keith-

If this is a one time or once in a while thing, you could try the following.

From TCL (the F5 key) type

PDISK C:\MYFILE.TXT

Next, type

LIST EMP FNAME LNAME ADDRESS CITY STATE ZIP ….. (P)

where you use your real file and field names.

Finally, type

PDISK PRN

At this point you will a text file named c:\myfile.txt. Open it in Excel, use the text wizard to import it, clean it up, and then save it as a CSV (Comma Separated Value) file.

Again, this only makes sense if you need to do it infrequently.

Hope it Helps-
