Is there a max. file size or any other type of limitation to NT Service 2.1, like cache, users or requests per second?

With files < 1GB we practically don't experience difficulties, but files above 4GB appear occasionally in the error log of the LH service. Although the error is sporadic, the maintenance effort related to the error is very high.

Hi Sprezz,

"… the OV ] 1 GB bug fixed in the UD…"

I assume this is also related to NT Service 2.1?

If yes, what is the solution?

We are at 900+MB with one of our production files.

Where can we find the bug fix for NT Service 2.1?

Wilhelm

The bug is fixed in the UD - it has not been fixed in the 2.1 Service.

A chunk of today was spent by our support team advising a client around this in the short term.

Are there compatibility issues between NT2.1 and UD ?

If yes, this might affect development as well, i.e. creating/modifying files under NT2.1 and deploying them to the runtime environment with UD3.

2.1-]UD fine

Rev are trying to practice backwards compatibility. Forwards compatibility will always be a bit hit and miss. :)

"UD-]2.1 No No"

Does this refer to all tables, once they are passed to UD, or just the tables created with UD?

Scenario: we develop under 2.1, deploy to UD and later on have to inspect one of the tables in our development version with 2.1.

Purely to tables CREATED with the UD as the UD uses a different header structure to permit 4GB frame sizes etc.
