FWIW - a couple of quirks in OIPI Pro (maybe also 16-bit).

1) I had a series of about 150 invoices to print and decided it would be nice to see these on screen (and print page range, if required). Thus one INIT, lots of pages and a TERM.

Worked fine, until … I added a smallish bitmap logo.

It shot through about 50 and then crawled. On one PC it threw some sort of memory shortage error. So I altered the procedure to set up a template for every page (including the logo) and then superimposed the record-specific material.

Still crawls after around 50th invoice - at least no memory message.

Client reports that when printing direct to printer it behaves likewise.

Answer seems to be to forget on-screen - just straight to printer with INIT and TERM for each invoice.

2) I altered my standard OIPI shell procedures and included explicit setting of most INIT params, initially with the same values as OIPI defaults so as to change later if required.

Portrait worked fine but landscape was OK on screen but shifted left about half an inch on printer. Same for client. Resolved by setting INIT params to null except where needed different (e.g. orientation, margins, destination). Don't know which params were to blame.

Any comments?

Richard,

Have these issues been addressed yet? I can do some testing on my end to try to reproduce the problems, and hopefully find a work-around if these issues have not already been addressed.
