DUMP Reports 0 Records but REV file says otherwise (AREV Specific)

I have a client, on an AREV 2.12 system, whose main data file has been having GFEs. One particular Fatal Error mentioned Frame 1. A DUMP of the file showed 0 records where there should be 14K. The size of the REV LK and OV files still indicate that there's something in the files. In fact, opening the files in an editor still shows the records. I have a feeling that the file, or at lease Frame 1, is corrupted and was wondering if anything can be done in order to either fix/rebuild Frame 1 to recognize the records or access the records via some other AREV means?
Thanks for all your help.

The row count is stored in Frame 0 so if 0 is corrupt there will be a problem. Try creating a new file and copying the rows over - when you get abort ignore retry messages just ignore. If worst comes to worst we have developed utilities to strip data out from such corrupt files, but the above should help.

I've tried listing, copying, and just about any other TCL command to access this file but I immediately get a Fatal Error message. About those utilities you mentioned? It looks like they may be my only hope. How do I go about acquiring them?

In common with most consultancies we tend not to sell these tools (too expensive) rather just to charge for the time taken to fix. So clients normally send us their data, we fix and return - or we log in via something like pcAnywhere and fix in situ.
