We have a report which generates a number of pages, depending on the no of items in the source data. We build up an unconnected data object with n rows (where n is 1 to 10), then produce reports based upon this data object.

If we print a report with 10 items, we get all 10 pages. If we then print a report with only 2 items, we get 2 pages. If we then try to produce the original report with 10 items, only 2 pages are printed. If we print a report with a single page, all subsequent prints are one page, until we restart the application.

We assumed the bug was with our code, so we investigated the problem. We have proved the data object is always populated with the correct number of lines. We replaced the "PrintReportNoDialog()" with "PrintPreview()" to save paper during testing - and we were unable to reproduce the problem! Nor can we reproduce the problem with "PrintReport()". It is only when we use "PrintReportNoDialog()" that we have a problem.

Once the bug has shown itself (i.e. following a PrintReportNoDialog()), subsequent PrintPreviews or Prints also exhibit the same behaviour (i.e. too few pages).

Our testing indicates that this bug affects all reports, it is not isolated to one data object or report object.

This is a critical error to us, because we have to make these reports print out automatically while the system is unattended. Please help!

Hello Paul,

We have seen similar behavior as you are experiencing when running multiple reports in succession.

I will be attempting to reproduce the issue on my machine and will then escalate it to our development team, who will hopefully be able to find a fix/workaround.

Hope this helps,
