Is it possible to write directly into Access files?

If so is there any easy to follow documentation?

Yes,

You can use the C/S part of OpenInsight to set up an ODBC connection with an ACCESS database. The best documentation I have seen on this so far (for beginners) is in Sprezzatura's latest newsletter (S/ENL volume 2 issue 1.

Go to www.sprezzatura.com and download it. It's free.

For more involved ODBC work, look at the warehousing documentation (and source code) in OI.

Good Luck!

Thanks - The Good Luck bit sounds a bit ominous.

No, no, no :)

It's just that it's a little bit of a shift from the Linear Hash way to the ODBC way!

Manageable though… I should wish you "fast learning"! Better ?

Peter,

Look up QryMethod in the help file and take a look at the example code in there. To work with Access data, you must use SQL scripts, and the easiest way is with the QryMethod QRY_EXECUTE$.
