2) get refund my check or get me copy of credit to my credit card

OR

Hi David

On 5/17 at 11:47 Fedex tracking number 811613236609 was delivered to your location. This packet contained a copy of RMA #71620 along with a copy of the credit that was issued to your American Express card. If you need another copy of this, I will send it to you.

If you have any further questions, please contact us directly!

Also, Susan received your thank you for the responses that we provided to you!

Mr. Sigafoos

Here is Revelation's response with regard to your question on SCAN_REP.

The SCAN_REP utility is designed to locate potential deployment problems

caused by

invalid data in the system repository (SYSREPOS). Due to the complicated

nature of the

task, SCAN_REP may not identify all entities that could cause problems and

furthermore

may find invalid data that is the result of the build process for

OpenInsight upgrades. In

other words, even in a freshly installed system, it is possible that

SCAN_REP will find

repository entries that fail some of the SCAN_REP tests. This in no way

implies that

OpenInsight will not operate correctly or successfully deploy applications.

You are correct

that in a freshly installed system, no system entities (SYSPROG) should

fail the tests; we will

resolve those errors as soon as possible.

Regards, Susan Noyes

* As you mentioned I did thank her for this reply. Although I am not sure why scan rep should show things as wrong and them not be wrong I can live with that. Hey it is only a tool .. yes? But there was no discussion of my posting about Deploying Dictionary Items. On the works page, if it hasn't been delete yet, i detailed a problem with deploying dictionary items. I ran through a complete scenerio in a NEW OI 3.7, using the Examples application. The Long/Short is that changes to dictionarys do not seem to be being maintained in the repository .. thus trying to use the deployment app does not find them. THIS is what i need feed back on. As for the fed ex .. No on at this house has recieved a package. I will check with my PO box to see if it went there although I don't quite understand that as I got my Works Certificate at this address .. I will check into that. Thank you and I look forward to more information on Deploying Dict items. dsig@teleport.com onmouseover=window.status=imagine … ;return(true)" David Tod Sigafoos ~ SigSolutions voice: 503-639-8080 </QUOTE> —- === At 02 JUN 1999 10:24AM dsig@teleport.com wrote: === <QUOTE>Robin, 1) I checked with my mail drop. David,

You will not be receiving a check, your payment was made by Am/Ex and a credit for $895 was issued on 5/13/99 to your Am/Ex card.

We Federal Expressed you a copy of this on 5/17. If you would like another copy, please let me know.

I believe Cam has answered your other question.

Thank you

Cameron,

I believe that I thanked you a little early .. well actually thanks for the one fix on the odd stuff from the repository but

As I mentioned last the real important stuff is the problem with dictionary changes not being tracked in the repository and so they don't come up in a deployment.

Have you been able to duplicate per my message on the works? If not I can walk you through the scenerio with a fresh copy of OI. If so then do you have a guess when that will be fixed.

thanks

Yes, that is a known bug and I've already started a fix for it. I can't guarantee it will be in the next major release, but I am hoping I will finish. (It is a big change.)

Cameron,

Thanks for the update.

Do you have a good work around to this? I guess I could/can keep track of all dict changes and then check them out? But then how to get them into the runtime systems. Some of these dict items have Indexes added.

Suppose you could whip up a quick MFS, update date/time in a user field in the dict and application row repos entity. Shouldn't be more than about 20 lines of actual code in the write section of MFS.

Aaron,

If it were that easy, it wouldn't still be a bug ;-)

The problem is that TableAPI, used by Form Des and Table Builder, creates a copy of the table to work on and then copies it back over the original. (Not record-level stuff.)

Take an engine log of Table Builder in action to see what I mean. Also compare the REV##### before and after.

be careful about complaining .. you might want to call getting the repository to work an enhancement

That's just from a squeaky wheel of course :-)

But now that cameron is on the problem I expect it will be taken care of pretty well (and hopefully quickly). He doesn't seem to let 'known' problems exist.
