Have the following error appearing when a user minimizes Arev, opens MS Word, and then swaps back to Arev:
FS231
RTP57
LISTS.DEV
COMMAND.STACK*
'RTP50' Line 1. B114 Maximum Number of Variables exceeded.
Line 1 'CATALYST' Broke because a run time error was encountered.
NLM 1.5
LHIPXTSR /p
Arev launch icon set up according to spec - /X /M4096, suspend disabled, etc.,etc (WHO in Arev shows lots of memory available).
Client32 3.01 (without SP1 - same as everyone else in the building who is not having this problem)
We have a dedicated indexer.
After the error message, Arev (on occasion) will lock up requiring a ctrl-alt-del to close.
Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Try using a suspend that launches a batch file which runs Word, then run Word from AREV. Change directory back to the AREV path after running Word.
Problem - tabbing to word may be changing the default path which confuses AREV. You may be able to disable Alt-tab from the AREV shortcut in Windows.

Just about everyone in our office has that problem. What solves it is to use the task bar instead of Alt-Tab to get back to Arev.
Also, drag the Arev icon onto the "Start" in the task bar. That way the user won't have to get to the desktop to start Arev.

The error you're describing is quite common when using a Novell Client32 v3.0 or above. One handy solution is to map the path where your ARev system resides to a unique drive letter (say, S: for example) and to launch it from there. Word as well as any other application should be launched as usual, from its original drive/path. Hope it helps.
