3rd problem in Anchorage:

Customer #3 gets this error message after logging in:

Printer not connected or out of paper. Quit or Retry?

Yes, the printer works fine for other applications as

well as printing in DOS. Other people are able to

send print jobs successfully from their pc's to this

network printer through the same AREV application that

this customer cannot.

Any thoughts?

Kim

Use the setprinter command to see which post AREV is connected to. Then suspend to dos and use the cpature sh command to display the printer status on a Novell network. Use the NET USE comaand to display the printer network connection on a microsoft network.

Hope this helps

I've had issues with AREV printing to ports other than LPT1. Be sure that the network printer settings properties detail is capturing to LPT1 (e.g. LPT1:\\CMS_ENERGY\.WH_HP5N_2.CMS_ENERGY).

This is working for us.

Good luck,

Kimberly
