We had the 1.5 NT driver and upgraded to 2.1. No problems with the revparam set with serveronly=1. Trying to increase performance we decided to run Tcp/IP only so we stopped the service and made the changes to the server as per the manual and started the service. We received the FS1019 error with or without TCPIPPORT=777 in the revparam file. We checked and we have the System user rights to our f:\arev directory.

Dave,
You will also need to change the current Network Driver in Arev. Depending on the version, it is the AREV BUMP or AREV LANPACK command. I am guessing that you are at the All Networks 2.1. Switch it to All Networks 2.1 Thunk and see if you have better results.

We followed what the manual said for TCP. I believe None is the value we used.
