exact same problem so I am taking the liberty to post

the same message. Can anyone help????

Thanks.. Steve Carlson

In the past this had worked well..

in the development copy I made changes to programs and/or

windows.. and tested.. then

under Developement

check-out/retry checkout new check out

                  1) blank "lock entities"
                  2) enter checkout path (mine: c:\xx2)
                  3) select entities...
                  a) add choices
                  b) do "OK"
                  4) do "OK"
exit development copy & enter runtime copy....
                  again Development
                  check-out/retry checkout
                  check "from"
check out path... again (mine is c:\xx2)
                  click "entities"
                  choose check out item
                  click "OK"
                  click "OK"
up until recently this imported the changes
made in the development copy... now I get the following
                  message...
  1. ——————————————————————–
                  application manager
  1. ——————————————————————–
stop no entry selected for check
                  sign out
in returning to the development copy, I can import there
Q: is there a file I can copy from one to the other.. or
                  somehow fix the "damaged" file......
                  any help would be appreciated

Steve,

I don't fully understand the message. Please answer the following:

1) By "runtime", do you mean an OpenInsight application using the runtime engine?

2) I don't understand the following. What is the title of the message (assuming "application manager")? What is the text of the message?

now I get the following message… ——————- application manager ——————- stop no entry selected for check sign out

BTW Have you tried checking out directly into the runtime? If they are both on the same network, just choose the runtime directory to check out into.

Cameron,

]1) By "runtime", do you mean an OpenInsight application using the ]runtime engine?

I have deployed a runtime using RDK. I have 3 "OIENGINE" files.

OIENGINE.EXE, OIENGINE.RUN, OIENGINE.DEV. "OIENGINE.EXE and

OIENGINE.RUN" are what is normally running on the RDK. I copy the developement

OIENGINE.DEV to OIENGINE.EXE when I need to work on the deployed copy,

then I copy OIENGINE.RUN back to OIENGINE.EXE.

I am wanting to checkout of my development system and copy

using checkout into my RDK copy.

] 2) I don't understand the following. What is the ]title of the message (assuming "application manager")?

A dialog box appears with the title "application manager", a stop

sign, and "No Entity selected for checking-out", although I do have

my entities listed.

Check for a GFE in the SYSREPOSLOCKS file.

Also validate the indexes are on SYSREPOSLOCKS.

There should be a BTREE on APPUSERSTATUS.

Either of these could cause this error.
