IBM Think Pad T40 and edit lines (OpenInsight 32-bit Specific)

We have a customer who was using an IBM T40 Think Pad that was
working fine, but now she got a new one and its not handling
edit lines properly. If she backs over data and types into the
same line, the field will show her both numbers at once, one
on top of the other. Wierd. Does anyone have any clues?
No problem on edit tables.
She has this problem in both the 16 bit and 32 bit stuff.
Thank you and hope everybody has a Merry Christmas! Jackie

I got the story wrong. Our customer used to have an older IBM
laptop, not the T40. Now she has a T40 and its not working right.
Thanks.

What happens if you change the video resolution under Windows to something different?

We have the same problem, although on OI 16.
On OI 32 the problem is resolved, so it seems like a DLL issue.
What version of OI are you running?
If you resize the form, either dragging, or maximise/resize, then the screen refreshes, and the backspaced characters are removed.
Not a solution, I know, but it shows that it is a refresh issue relating to Windows and the controls being used.

I changed from 800x600 to 1024x768 and no change, problem still exists.

I am using 4.1.3.
I try re-sizing, maximize, minimize, dragging but the control doesn't refresh.

Rudhy,
I just started to get this problem myself (ThinkPad A31) but I think it is only with OI 7.0. I have noticed that pressing the End key refreshes the display.

I am on 4.1.3 as well, and this works, but 3.x does not.
What is the version of your CTL3DV2.DLL (not sure, but I think this DLL is the one used for this type of thing)… just a guess.

Don,
Pressing End-Key doesn't refresh the editline in my laptop.
Is this IBM video driver problem or OI Editline problem ?
