Tables and files "not available" messages (AREV Specific)

A few days ago, I lost some files and I'm not sure what caused it. Since then, I can enter time, etc. from the data entry menu. I cannot run any reports, invoice, or enter payments. When attempted, the message "invoicefile" is not available is displayed. I have tried reattaching – which had no affect. I have checked to be sure that the code is still in the file, and it is.
I am running AREV 3.1and I am not networked. Any ideas?

Could you be a little more specific as to the nature of your problem? Out of the box, Arev 3.x doesn't have anything to do with invoices, so it sounds to me like you are running a payroll system developed by a company other than Revelation. Do you know the name of the application? If you can find that out, I would recommend contacting the company that made the application as your first resort, they might know exactly what file you are talking about and whether it's ok to simple restore it from backup, rebuild it, or another solution.

You can sometimes get this problem if you have a currupt index file. ie: !invoicefile
Try listmedia to see if the file exists and if it has an index.
If it has an index then try manually removing it.
Easier yet, can you restore a working version of your data from a backup?
