We use ARev 3.12 on a NT4.0 Server (with NT Service installed). On the server console we receive up to 10 messages each day with this text:

"LHCreateFile call failed returning LH error number 1030, file number 0, group number 0, Unable to open REVLOCKS file at server."

(All server locations with LH files on it have the REVPARAMS file installed with ServerOnly=1)

1) In ARev, there is aparently nothing wrong. How should we trace the error?

2) What is the purpose of the REVLOCKS file?

Thanks for any advice

This error usually means the NT Service is not accessing the files correctly. Most likely it is because of an improper protocol setting or system rights. Ensure the NT System 'user' has full rights to the LH files and directories.
