NLM REVELATION user bottleneck! (Networking Products)

This weekend I changed our NLM (v.1.12) to load the LHIPXSER with the /oa switch to use the REVELATION user for access. After about 12 users had logged in, I started getting
"Station 252 file lock threshold exceeded" messages on the server console. So I increased the "Maximum File Locks per Connection" to 1000, and the console messages stopped. A couple more workstations were able to log in, but the rest couldn't because of various error messages as the AREV splash screen was being displayed, like "Unable to attach boot media" and others. There are numerous settings to try, which ones should I change?

Ron,
Can the workstations having problems log in some of the time or never?
Is this problem new since you implemented the Revelation user?
What is the workstation O/S and Netware client?
The Maximum File Locks per Connection limit of 1000 is a Novell limit. If "REVELATION" tries to open more it will be denied the resources.

Once a certain threshold is reached no more workstations can get in.

YES, to work around this problem, I had to remove the /oa switch from the LHIPXSER NLM, and restart it. Now there are 111 users currently logged in and working fine.

Win95 w/Novel 32 Client, Netware 3.12. These were Arev clients using the 1.12 LHIPXTSR.
Even with very few users logged in, I would occasionally see Arev hit a fatal error that would kick me out to windows with an access violation.

As to the limits on number of users…
Each Advanced Revelation session, by default, uses 20 file handles (File Locks). This number may be adjusted by a startup parameter but this is not usually recommended.
Novell has a maximum for 'Maximum User Locks Per Connection' of 1000.
If the REVELATION user account is used, a single user account is charged for all file access bye all stations BUT each session still needs to be recognized and activity for it needs to be controlled so, the NLM uses the 20 handles for each session.
Using simple math, you can see that 50 users maximum will be allowed into the system with the REVELATION user by default.
This is not a new condition. It has been with the NLM since it first shipped.
The only way to work around this user count limit is to not use the REVELATION user account.
