Environment: NT4, Novell 4.2, AREV 3.12

Running three AREV sessions. Print from one and exit the application. The remaining two sessions hang, although shown as running in task manager. Cannot kill them and NT will not shut down. The designated printq does not produce any output. Other queues that do produce output allow the sessions to exit and restart without any problem.

Check the AREV desktop shortcut's Memory settings. Ensure that "Exclusive in Foreground" is unchecked and "Idle sensitivity" is set to 80%. In the Novell client ensure that file write caching is set to No and the True Commit is set to Yes. The printer device should be set as fully shared in Windows.
