I am very new to OpenInsight and need to Import an Access Database into OI. Does any have a very easy to understand process to get this data into OI. It would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I think I would first open up my access database,
select the table/file, then from the file menu save as/export.
Save it as a text, comma separated, etc. from the list in the
save as window drop down list.
In the export text window click "next" till finished.
Then launch OI. From the app mgr. tools-]database mgr then from
db mgr. file-]import choose ascii.
Then in the import window type in a process name,
the dos file name just created from Access (i.e. msatest.csv),
choose a table name (if it is not already a table click the advanced options and make sure the "create table" is checked",
then for the type pick comma quote delimited if that is what you
chose in the Access import window.
Then go to file-]save and then file-]import.
There are other ways and some folks might offer those but since
you said you were new to Oi this might help.

Rich,
No problem. Glad it helped out.
Now if I could only answer my own questions…
