Hi,

We have a client for whom our OI app won't run on there newly installed W2K machine. They installed W2K on the machine because the app wouldn't work on the previous W9x OS either! Looking at Task Manager, NTVDM.EXE stays running at 99% but it doesn't seem to get as far as running 16-bit apps within it - not even oengine.exe! NETDRV.EXE fails to run as well.

I'm out of ideas. Any ideas what might cause this?

Cheers, M@

What is the hardware spec? How much RAM? Is there enough free disk? What is the benchmark CPU utilization with OI unloaded?

We've had success running our 16-bit OI app on W2K.

You may want to check user rights.

Any anti-virus software checking for .ov? files.

Write behind caching.

Dll's on the workstation.

Just some suggestions.
