My Windows XP box seems to have lost its ability to display the OpenInsight 7.2 Online Help reference. I recently upgraded XP to SP2 and installed critical updates.
Here is the basic error message:
"The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web
site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need
to adjust your browser settings."
I've gone through the Options settings on IE and haven't found any controls that look like they might block the online help.
Also, when I double-click on the .chm files (which appear to be the actual Online Help files), I get the same errors.
Any ideas?

It appears that Microsoft security update #896358 may have disabled access to the .chm files. I've also read Microsoft KB #902225, but the instructions for enabling .chm files don't make any sense in my context.

Has anyone tried to uninstall update #896358? I'd like to get confirmation that it can be done without hosing the OS.

I am having this problem, even after applying the registry changes as suggested.
Any other bits to try …

Right click on the Progref.chm in Windows Explorer. At the bottom of the General Tab there should be a Security section and an Unblock button. Click the Unblock button and click Apply or click Ok
