Apologies in advance for weak ARev knowledge.

I am attempting to use SQL interactively in v3.1 and am receiving errors using UPDATE….

Selects work fine… when I attempt to issue:

UPDATE brochure SET dt_dead=11 January 1999" WHERE dt_sent < "22 January 1999"

I am getting SQL error 312 - Physical error….

This is a multiuser environment, but all other users were logged off.

Also tried:

BEGIN TRANSACTION

SET TRANSACTION CONSISTENCY LEVEL 1

UPDATE, etc….

COMMIT

apparently my SQL macro expertise did not impress AREV.

Any help, etc…..
