I recently moved my server to NT ver 4.0, Service Pack 3. I am using Client for Microsoft that came with my windows version A. I am running AREV 2.12 and the NT Service Pack.

I am getting the "Too Many Users" error spuradically. I don't have a CD Tower.

Is there anything I can check that isn't set right or what could possibly be going wrong?

Are there any parameters that need to be set in the NT Service PAck to correct this problem?

Any help is most appreciated.

Pat,

Do you still have any Novell servers on your network? Do any of your machines map to the Novell servers?

I read a post that said AREV will try and query any Novell servers on the network that you are mapped to and if it gets a no connections status from any one of them, then you will get the message "Attempt to log in too many users."

I'm not sure if that applies only if your AREV server is Novell, or if there are any Novell servers at all on the network.

Not recommended to use the Microsoft client. Use the Novell client 32 from Novell's web site. I had a similar problem with 40 work stations and the Novell client cleared up most of the problems.

Good Luck.
