I noticed the following bugs in VIP 2.2 and 2.5 - the band names disappear in the GROUP BREAKS !!!!!!
Do the following:
(1)Create a local data object and add a few columns.
(2)Add a report object and connect it to the local data object
(3)In the report design, create some Group Breaks - specifying the column names in the local data object.
(4)Now go back to the local data object and ADD a new column
(5)Now go back to the report design - THE BAND NAMES in the GROUP BREAKS disappear !!!!!!! You basically have to respecify the column name you want to use in the band.
(6)I'm going nuts here - what gives ?

Hello Dennis,
I have reproduced the report group band behavior you are experiencing, when adding a column to an unconnected data object. However, the same issue does not occur when the data object is connected. After discussing this with the development staff they have mentioned that this feature was unfortunately not implemented with the local data object.
At this point there are no plans to include that functionality in ViP/DX, however, if that changes, we will re-post.
Hope this helps,

Thanks for getting back to me - your help has always been appreciated. The loss of band names in reports when adding a new column to a local data object is a serious problem for us - most of our reporting is based on LOCAL data objects we populate - we need that feature put back in.
Thanks
