We have a customer who is very interested in using the OICGI interface to our OI 3.7 system. However, they have to be assured that it will work behind a firewall. How should I respond to this question?
I often receive queries about firewalls and proxy servers as they relate to the OICGI interface. Can anyone point me to some information on this subject so that I can discuss it intelligently?
Thanks for any help.

Jim,
From the browser's and wirewall's point of view a URL with a CGI request is no different from a URL referring to a static HTML page,
You can read about CGI protocol at http://hoohoo.ncsa.uiuc.edu/cgi/so as soon as an HTTP server allows CGI scripts execution there should be no problems using any CGI program including OICGI.EXE with or without firewalls.
