My window studders. (AREV Specific)

Using Arev 3.12, on a Novell 3.x network. I've got a screen that I've done a couple of minor things on that now studder steps when it goes from the last available prompt on a mutli part screen back to the first prompt. It has been a while since I've seen something like this and don't remember how to correct it. I think what I need to do is some how reset the top and bottom of each screen full for the window. Can anyone tell me where I find out how to do that?
What happens is when I'm on the last available prompt on a window that has two screens full of prompts and then hit Enter, it first displays the third line of the top of the first screen and then goes to the first line (thus making it jumpy). The third line of the first screen for the window has the key field on it. I'm fairly sure that that is part of the problem and part of the solution.
The other thing that I just had to fix was on top of the second screen. There is displayed the key value as well. The second key value prompt was protected and attached to the zero (0) position key value within the dictionary. I had to change it to point to a symbolic that got the key value and made it Filled and Protected. That solved part of my problem but not all.
We've been having some trouble with this window of late due to some unforseen consequences of some (what we thought of) minor changes. So in trying to correct the original problem, we must of tripped over something.
If you have any ideas to point me in the right directions they would be greatly appreciated.

I saw the same at a clients site after a conversion to 3.12.
- You can redo the window. After this it might work.
- You can also split the screen and reprogram keys lige PgUp and PgDn to switch between them.
I did the last thing in this case. It is a bit more work but the result reacts much quicker.

From your explanatuion I believe that you are haveing a Pageing
problem which is quite simple to correct.
1) paint the window
2) display first screen of multi window on computer screen
3) select all prompts that are displayed on computer screen
4) select UNDEFINE PAGE
5) select DEFINE PAGE
6) unselect all prompts
7) repeat for all other screens of window

Thanks, I'm sure that is the solution (UNDEFINE PAGE and then DEFINE PAGE). I'm having a problem implementing it tho. If I select just a subset of the screen that only includes prompts and thier text labels then when I do the F2 I get the "PROMPTS OPTIONS" popup with all of its choices (including the UNDEFINE PAGE and DEFINE PAGE). But when I select the whole page or a subsection that contains just a straight label (with no entry area bound to it like a line across the screen to help section off the prompts), I get the "OBJECTS OPTIONS" box instead. The only choices for the "OBJECT OPTIONS" popup is Drag, Color, Copy and Delete. Not what I want to do.
I know I must be really dense at the moment but I can't find away around this little sticking point (I haven't found found anything in the manuals or help area yet) and I was hoping that you might have a suggestion.
Thanks,

When doing the paging you dont need to select labels
only select the data prompts that exist on the screen you
wish to define as a page.
When you have the data prompts selected press f2 then you
will get the correct popup list.
Also you can use Alt-S to get list of all prompts attached to the
window and select the prompts from it instead.
MUCH FASTER.
IMPORTANT - when you hit f2 to define page it is a good idea
to have that page viewed in the screen only.
Ive never tried it any other way.

Thanks Terry for the help. You advice did the trick. It mostly works now. One of the other things I did was check on the prompt order and found some to be way out of place, even tho they are protected prompts, I put them in thier proper order.
Now I have a bit of a hick-up when the cursor goes from the last prompt on the second screen to the first promt on the first screen. Just for a split second, the first prompt(which is on line 3 of that screen), is displayed on the first line. Likewise the rest of the screen from there on down has been shifted up by two lines. Then it rights itself. If I can't figure it out, my users may have to live with it for a little while until we can get that corrected. It's not harmful, just annoying.
The only other thing that I seem to have a possible problem with is my Page Down and Page Up buttons don't want to work any more within the one screen that is being a pain. I plan on doing some looking around within my Arev enviorment to see if those keys have somehow been disabled.
All in all, I'm still a lot further along, thanks to your help. It's much appriceated and saved me a lot of hair tearing.

Make sure you haven't defined a page using protected or symbolic prompts.
