I have an MFS in which I would like to capture the calling object. With a window, I can use the common TEMPLATE or WC_TEMPLATE$, however when this MFS is triggered by a program, it doesn't like me talking about templates (COMMON is not defined). Is there some variable that at least tells what type of object made the call. If I can tell it to use TEMPLATE only if the call came from a window that would give me 80% of what I need.

Thanks

Dave's having a little linkage problem these days. I'm sure he'll sort himself out :)

What you want is the RETSTACK program from the Developer's Utility Disk Series. I don't recall which disk RETSTACK was on, but I think it was 4 or 5. Either way, this contains them all, and some other interesting goodies you might be interested in.

As the warning on the download says though, do take some care with the older tools, as they were written for older versions and might have some compatibility problems with later versions of AREV.
